5 memberships that will save you money this summer and all year long

I am a big fan of membership and museum reciprocal programs! It is one of the best ways to save money exploring and traveling with kids! Great for couples and single adult too!

We are so lucky to have all of the museums around us, ALL of which are member of the reciprocal program!

Below is my list of local membership and tips!

There’s an amazing office in downtown Akron! I personal love AAA for the free printed maps and guides for all the cities we visited! During some seasons you get better rate on hotels with AAA discount than travel website!

Website: AAA membership starting at $52!

Stan Hywet was a no brainer for us when we became parents. And Cleveland botanical garden was the winter garden for us when the kids were younger. Not only you can go any day of the week, but we often use these memberships to get into botanical gardens in Pittsburgh, Columbus and Florida as well.

Depending on the city you live in, one of these museum memberships is totally worth it. Not only that it pay for itself in a couple visits, you can use them at most children’s museum across that US. We have recent just used the benefit @museumofplayroc and past trips to Tampa, Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and the list goes on. Just remember to look it up and use it!

All of these are great options depending on your location and interest. We have had the Cleveland museum of natural history membership from when the kids were 2-6 Then we switched over to buy McKinley presidential library and museum membership instead as it is at a lower cost for the same benefits that we can use when traveling.

Akron Zoo for the win!! Can’t beat the price and it’s one of the best activities to do with kids in Akron. And it is so small, yet so big. If you are a member, you already know you can spend half an hour in there of four hours or maybe a whole day if you may. We love our zoo and the benefits from its membership! But Cleveland zoo rocks too!

I sure hope this helps if you were planning on family savings this summer and beyond!
